  • Battle Royale

  • The Score

  • Amelie

It wasn’t quite as Ally McBeal-like as the trailers made it seem (in the visual trickery rather than unisex bathroom sense). Essentially a film about a girl who isn’t very nice. She likes playing tricks with people’s lives and I’m not really sure why this should be such a good thing. Lots of people seem to like it though probably because it tries to be happy: maybe it’s a French film for people who don’t like French films. I don’t know.

  • The Man Who Wasn’t There

  • Legally Blonde

Fun but rather less satisfying than Election which also featured Reese Witherspoon.

  • Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens

I was lucky enough to see this in a performance on Halloween at Brighton’s Cinematheque with a soundtrack from TestCard. It was a little strange to see it having seen Shadow of the Vampire. but it still manages to have surprises in it.
